Welcome to Twirled World Ink where the crazies run the asylum.
Gene Sheridan earned the appropriate nickname when Legend Gib Phelps employed him at Twirled World Ink—Scary. No one made it out of his old neighborhood without scars both mental and physical. At one time, Scary thought he had a chance that is until his ex-boyfriend discovered slumming with someone like him wasn’t worth his trust fund. No-strings hookups became his go-to when he needed to relieve some tension. Co-owning a bar called Brawlers with his best friend, Tank, made it easy to find a body to use for the night. If not happy he was content with his life, but one man made content seem like such a terrible thing.
Elijah Vaughn worried about everything. His life was put on hold at eighteen when his mostly-absent parents died on one of their many adventures leaving him to raise his six-year-old brother, Brody. He’d never had anything or anyone that was just his. When Brody met a tattoo artist named Trouble, Elijah hadn’t realized how much it would change his life too. He met a huge man named Scary and how the man made him feel terrified him.
Tank Davis lost his voice the night he was attacked and had this throat slit ear-to-ear. It kept him in a world of silence. Silent and intimidating, he scared off more men than he drew to him. His best friend Scary and him made a life for themselves in small town Georgia with their bar Brawlers. Most night everyone could find him working security at the door. Scary called in a favor, and Tank met the one man he couldn’t resist, proper and upstanding Elijah Vaughn.
Can one man accept that there’s not one perfect man for him, but two damaged souls who need him to be whole?
Author's Note Although this is part of a series each book is stand alone and every book deals with a separate couple.

While I really did love these stories (I've read them all now, including Crave and Psycho) I just can't give it a better rating than 3 stars due to editing. Man, there were some sentences I just couldn't even figure out what she was trying to say. I have to agree with several other comments that said the same thing, if you want your books to get the better ratings, you really need to find someone to help you edit. I lost count of the times where past and passed were misused. Actually at this point I think the author truly believes the words mean something different than what they actually do. While I can usually overlook bad editing when the story is good enough there comes a point when the story loses its impact when you are struggling to figure out what the sentence is trying to say. Also, the switch from point of views was confusing at times and there were several times I had to go back and re-read a page or two to figure out whose point of view I was "listening" to. There are tons of people out there that would be more than willing to help you edit for a free copy of a book. I suggest you look for a couple.Product details

Scary Twirled World Ink Book 3 edition by JM Dabney Laura McNellis Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Scary and Tank were business owners of Brawlers. But when he they lay on the three piece suit all bets were off. Scary wanted Elijah with an intensity. Tank had his own demons. Could Elijah want him as well? Doubtful because he was closed off and he was no prize. Neither Scary nor Tank were good looking both were marred with scars...tattoos and were emotionally damaged. Elijah never had a boyfriend, much less two. Caring for his brother, his life was lonely and depressing until he spots Scary, that man hated him but he was transfixed and then there was Tank, there was something that mesmerized and captivated. How could he want them? Better yet would they want him? So when danger calls will the men lose their new found happiness? I'm completely hooked on Twirled World!
Okay. There are some editing issues, but they don't really cause a problem with the flow when you're reading.
Love the characters. All of the characters are indisputably individuals with their own faults and depths.
Another thing I enjoy is the fact that the characters l, the MCs especially, have relatively defined gender roles. In all of the books in this setting all of the characters have their own traits. Some are masculine, some are feminine, some are a little of both. But, again, each character is unique. A lot of authors turn out characters that act as though they're some meld of all gender traits that just end up making them unrealistic and uninteresting.
I also enjoy dialogue. These books are typically full of funny, sharp, and realistic dialogue, and this one is no exception.
Also, no whangst. The concerns that show are expressed realistically and don't drag on for pages. You will not find long interludes of "I live him I can't it's not right he can't love me" ad nauseum.
A Twirled World Ink, book three. Each can stand alone. This fun book has a wild bunch of characters.
Elijah raised his brother Brody, who is now with Trouble and his girl, little Mina, "Princess". So, as her Uncle, Elijah gets to join the crazy crew. Elijah is the Mayor, but not up-tight and judgmental. Scary and Tank own Brawlers Bar, and are part of the Twirled World Ink family of friends. As honorary Uncles, Scary and Tank love Princess and she's a great kid. When someone hurts her feelings, they all help her. Elijah has had a crush on Scary, and then meets Tank, and wants him too. Could there be a problem? Elijah's a virgin, but knows what he wants, and big, hairy, muscled, tattooed, scarred bikers, Scary and Tank, want him. I loved these bigger than life characters, their openness, smart ass banter, and fierce protectiveness. We get hot ménage sexiness, and Elijah's friends try to help him by taking him to the sex toys shop, funny stuff. These characters are gloriously crazy, the tale is gripping, and we love it. There is some violence, a bit of angst, but everything holds our interest, and we can't put it down. Each man will touch your heart, and the trio really does belong together !
There's a kidnapping, recue, and an adoption, which all lead to a HEA.
Highly recommended ! ENJOY !
========================
The stories are good, but all of them are in desperate need of an editor. I actually liked this one better than the first two, but they'll never make it to 4-5 stars without the editing. Yes, I keep harping on that in my reviews, but editing is important.
I was anxiously counting down the days waiting for this one to publish. It did not disappoint. Dabney manages to develop the characters in such a way that you immediately begin to know them very well, yet, continuously discover things about each of them along the way. I credit this approach for the success of creating genuinely likable characters that possess both positive and negative characteristics--the same as you or I. In general, what I've read of Dabney's work (and most especially in this story), important issues are confronted without preaching. Too many times when I'm reading other authors, I'm hit in the face with a/the "message" and taken out of the "world" of the story. And by the way, I want to live in this world. I want to be friends with these people. In my opinion, this is storytelling at its finest. In the interest of full disclosure though, there were several proofreading/editing issues. Regardless, the story itself was so strong, so well-conceived and presented, it earns my 5 stars without reservation. This is most definitely my favorite book in the series so far. And Dabney has become one of my top 3 favorite authors in this genre.
While I really did love these stories (I've read them all now, including Crave and Psycho) I just can't give it a better rating than 3 stars due to editing. Man, there were some sentences I just couldn't even figure out what she was trying to say.
